Czech Rep., Oct 15 (BD) – “Inflation in the Czech Republic is rising above virtually all expectations (and those were not small). 4.9%! For the first time since 2014, petrol costs over CZK 35 per litre. And the key blow in the form of rising energy prices for households is yet to come,” said Lukáš Kovanda, Chief Economist of Trinity Bank, on Monday.
Consumers across Europe are feeling the effect of this year’s price rises. Fuel prices are rising due to increased demand for oil caused by the restarting of economies after the pandemic and a lack of natural gas from Russia.
