Brno, Jan 24 (BD) –  The new working group, made up of representatives from various groups within the city and civic society, will be divided into two subgroups; a conceptual group, which will discuss new proposals from the public and other interested parties in the city, and develop new concepts for the future, will meet twice a year, while a technical group, focused of the implementation of individual proposals and their integration with existing transport networks, will meet ten times a year.

Commenting on the new working group, Mayor of Brno Markéta Vaňková said: “Bicycle transport is an integral part of urban mobility, and together with public transport and walking is also one of the sustainable modes of transport, and I believe that it has a future in Brno. On the other hand, it is clear that developing cycling infrastructure in a restricted environment is not easy. The working group will therefore think about possible measures and propose ways to implement them, knowing what our options are.”
