Brno, Jun 27 (BD) – “The motorcyclist was driving over 200 km/h, and the police made sure to stay on his tail,” says David Chaloupka, a spokesman for the South Moravian Police Department.
The suspect was reported to have caught the police’s attention while speeding at Gajdošova, who then steered his bike towards the D1 highway.
During the pursuit, the police and the suspect had to navigate through the traffic on the road. The driver eventually decided to get off the highway, and ventured towards an old road, where one of the turns caused him to lose control and crash into a rapeseed field.
When the authorities captured the suspect, they concluded that he was not injured in the crash. They found out that he was driving in spite of having a driving ban, and that the motorcycle was a Suzuki Bandit 1200 – stolen from the repair shop which he was employed in.
