Brno, July 29 (BD) – The festival follows the success of the first edition and is expanding this year, with a more extensive line-up, more stages, a larger area and more catering and accompanying services. The Pop Messe festival focuses mainly on youth-oriented, multi-genre music that aims to push the boundaries of the term ‘pop’. Its aim is to provide a contemporary cultural platform with high artistic value for a modern city.
With the purchase of a ticket, attendees to the festival will symbolically plant a tree, thanks to the collaboration between the organisers and the Brno city forests agency. Not only that, but CZK 10 of the price of each ticket will be sent to the Social Endowment Fund, which was founded by the city in 1993 and has since then provided financial assistance for people with disabilities, the elderly, families with children at risk of poverty or orphans.

The second edition of the Pop Messe festival will feature British rapper Skepta and Parisian DJ duo Acid Arab, while the Czech scene will be represented by Iva Bittová with her band Dunaj, rap collective Prago Union, and the indie electro of Midi Lidi. The event will once again take place in the za Lužánkami stadium and in the Zoner Bobyhall.
Thanks to cooperation with the Brno Transport Company, a special festival transport ticket is available for visitors for CZK 50, which can be used on both days. The City of Brno has contributed CZK 6 million to the funding of the festival.
