Brno, Feb 14 (BD) – With this being the 7th edition of the competition, there a total of 10 categories. South Moravia won in 5 categories: “Summer Holidays”, “Hiking”, “Folklore and Traditions”, “Bicycling”, and “Excursions with Children”. More than 11,000 people voted in this competition.
The competition was organised by the tourist information organisation, “Where In Czechia” (“Kam po Česku”), in cooperation with ABF EXPO PRAHA, under the auspices of the Association of Regions in the Czech Republic. Luděk Sládek, spokesperson for Where in Czechia, stated that “the Olomouc and Liberec region have moved higher up in ranks, compared to previous years”.
The competition’s goal was to compare the popularity of the regions within the Czech Republic. An annually organised event, the survey for the competition usually runs from November until January.
