Brno, Feb 11 (BD) – Strong northwesterly winds of over 70 km/h are approaching the Brno area. Weather authorities are warning of effects including possible damage to trees, possible minor damage to buildings, danger of injury from falling or loose objects and broken branches, and possible transport complications.
Residents are advised to secure windows, doors, loose objects, greenhouses, and anything else which may be at risk of damage. Take extra caution when moving outdoors and driving vehicles. Avoid hikes in the mountains and avoid ridge areas in particular.
