Brno, Mar 20 (BD) – The 43-year-old suspect was driving a silver BMW, and hit a pedestrian, who was a 52-year-old. The victim died at the scene due to his injuries from the collision.
The suspect drove away after the accident, and the car which he was driving was found to be flames in the vicinity of Útěchov. The suspect was also found in the village, and was detained by the police. This week, the police officers closed the investigation on the case, and handed over a prosecution proposal to the prosecutor. The driver may be sentenced to prison for a duration of up to six years.
The suspect was prosecuted on four violations of the law: negligent homicide, failure to provide assistance, being under the influence of addictive substances, and carrying illicit arms.
