Brno, Feb 22 (BD) – Some of the tours include tours of Brno’s city centre – which are available in English, German, and Russian. Other tour themes are about the history of Brno, the legends of the city, and famous personalities with connections to the city.
Marina Sedláková, a tour guide, said, “Every year, there are new tours which are especially appreciated by locals! Some new topics are about the natives of Brno, and Brno 100 years ago.”
“The International Tourist Guide Day is organised by the Czech Association of Tourist Guides. Brno is the only city in the Czech Republic which has their events for this day organised in cooperation with TIC,” Sedláková added.
When asked why people should come to the tours lined up for this weekend, Jan Gerych, who is the marketing manager at TIC, said, “It’s International Tour Guides Day, so if people are fond of guided tours, they can come and enjoy them this weekend.”
Gerych also added, “there are some places left for tours in Russian, German and English. People will find out about many different topics as there are a variety of tours based on historic legends, architectures, and more information about the city.”
