Basket Brno Wins Two in a Row
egoé Basket Brno beat Opava, 67-59, on Thursday and Kolin, 75-80, on Saturday to move into eighth place in the Kooperativa NBL standings.
Brno (7-12) has won four of its last six games.
There are only three games left in the first part of the season. In the first week of February, the 12 teams of the league will be split into two divisions. The top eight teams in the standings go into Group A1. The bottom four go into Group A2.
Making the advanced group guarantees that Brno would not be relegated to a lower league at the end of the season. It also would provide a higher level of competition that could pay off in the future.
This Saturday, Brno hosts undefeated league-leaders ČEZ Basketball Nymburk (17-0) at 7 p.m.
Then they travel to Ústí nad Labem (11-8) on Jan. 26 and close out the season with last-place Kingspan Královští
