Brno’s municipal elections are taking place on 9–10 October 2026. If you’re an EU or EEA citizen, over 18, and registered as a permanent or temporary resident of Brno, you can vote, as long as you register by 7 October. This year, there are 16 electoral lists running in the city-wide elections.
If you’ve never voted here before, you should register on the electoral roll at your city district office before 4pm on 7 October. There is an online tool built by foreign residents of Prague (volbyprovsechny.cz) that will prepare the form for you, or you can download it, fill it out, and deliver it — in person, by post, or via datová schránka if you have one — to your local town hall. Brno has 29 of them, one per district.
If you’ve voted before and haven’t moved, you’re already on the roll — just show up on election day with a valid ID.

- ANO 2011, led by Vaclav Trojan, an MP and head of the FNUSA medical cannabis cultivation facility
- KDU-CSL and STAN, led by Jakub Hruska, Mayor of Brno-Kohoutovice
- Tu! (Pirates and Fakt Brno), led by Brno city councillor Adam Zemek
- Brno klidem, led by Karin Podivinská Karasová, current Deputy Mayor of Brno for Housing (formerly ANO)
- Brno Greens, led by Natálie Vencovská
- SPD and independents, led by Brno city councillor Jiří Kment
- Motorists, led by Tomáš Kratochvíl, mayor of Brno-Bystrc
- Nové Brno, led by Michal Sedláček, former chief architect of Brno
- Za Lužánky, led by Jana Janulíková, director of TIC Brno
- Přísaha, led by former ANO Mayor of Brno Petr Vokřál
- Brno naplno, led by Klára Liptáková, regional councillor for the far-right PRO
- Restart for Brno, led by Martin Riha, regional councillor for the Communist Party
- SOCDEM, led by Zdenek Slavik, a district councillor in Kohoutovice
- Brno to the Brnaks!, led by lawyer Matthew Bona
- DSZ – For Animal Rights, led by Ivona Galová
