The next expansion of Brno’s residential parking system will take place on 29 September. At a council meeting last week, representatives approved the scheduled operation of 9-01 Dunajská in Starý Lískovec, which will operate in Zone C mode, meaning only overnight parking will be regulated.
“We publish the schedule for expanding resident parking at the beginning of the year, so local residents have enough time to prepare for the change,” said Petr Kratochvíl, Brno city councillor for transport. “Area 9-01 is framed by Dunajská, Jemelkova, Klobásova and Osová in Starý Lískovec. Zone C, which regulates parking at night, will come into effect here on 29 September.”
All information for residents and commuters is available on the website parkovanivbrne.cz (in English) and also at the contact office at Veveří 100 in the new Academy Park.
In zone C, parking is regulated overnight from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. every weekday, with the first 60 minutes free of charge. After that, 30 crowns are charged for each additional hour started. Parking can be paid via the ParkSimply and Easypark mobile applications, or via SMS. There are no parking meters in zone C.
The Dunajska zone will be followed later in the year by 8-01 Kamenice on 5 October, and 9-02 Bosonožská on 2 November.
