The number of people getting the vaccine against Covid-19 continues to decrease, although the Czech Republic has not yet reached the vaccination coverage goal of 75% of the total population (WHO). Photo: KK / Brno Daily.

Czech Rep., Oct 15 (BD) – Only 18,400 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in the last seven days.

The number of daily vaccinations administered during weekends has not exceeded 3,000 in October.

For comparison, in early August, about 50,000 citizens were getting vaccinated every day, and around 20,000 during the weekend days.

As of today, 6,019,042 people in the Czech Republic have completed the vaccination process, which is 56.2% of the total population. 57.2% have been vaccinated with at least one dose, according to the Czech Ministry of Health.

There are still almost half a million people over the age of 60 in the Czech Republic who have not received any coronavirus vaccine.
