Brno, Oct 2 (BD) – “French Connection” is returning to Brno for the second time, after a first edition in November 2017 that saw Reims-based house producer Yuksek lighting up Art Bar Druhy Pad. Now the event is moving to Kabinet Muz, featuring headliner Brook Line, with support from Brno-based French DJ Joseph Tekcircus and Brno’s own Miltz.
An overnight electro sensation at the ‘Inouis Printemps de Bourges 2018’ festival, Brook Line offers a brilliant live set revealing a dark and elegant universe. He discovered electro and techno very young, sharing the scene during his early career with Rone, Mr Oizo, Her and Panteros666. In March 2016 he released his first EP “Paradoxe” on Mouton Noir Records, praised by Aglory, Atix, or Epic Empire, with tracks combining percussion and dark atmospheres. This first EP was followed by a remix EP edited by Molécule on his Mille Feuilles label, to critical acclaim. Brook Line released his latest album in November 2018.
Joseph Tekcircus is a Marseille-born techno DJ who relocated to Brno in 2017 to spread the gospel of French techno, and is part of the French Connection crew run by three other French expats in Brno, Brice Hairion, Guillaume Roubille, and Clément Giacobbi. Miltz, from the Brno-based Éter crew, takes influence from music all over the world to create occult-ceremonial rhythms that extract the individual from the chaos of the moment.
The event forms part of the Brno Design Days 2019 program, and is not to be missed. The entrance fee is CZK 180 on the door. For more information or to buy advance tickets, check out the Facebook event page.
