Brno, Jul 7 (BD) – Earlier this week we presented you the Special Edition of What’s Up Brno featuring the festivals scheduled in Czech Republic this summer, and it’s now time to go back to our regular edition. Markets and festivals are part of the menu this week. As dessert you can appreciate summer cinema or art workshops!

Do you like movies? Do you like to watch them during the evening, outside, eventually with a nice breeze refreshing you? Then you are lucky, because Brno offers you 3 different open location where movies will be screened during the summer. The courtyards of the Governor’s Palace, the Špilberk Castle and the Town Hall are waiting for you.

From July 11 till July 28, the city of Znojmo hosts a music festival. For its 15th edition, the worldwide known violinist Pavel Šporcl will open the festival. Multiple events will take place in the city: dance, multimedia presentations, encounters… This year, the festival celebrates the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Iron curtain. The whole program is available in English here.

Sting is currently crossing fields of gold to perform in Slavkov u Brna on July 12 in the castle garden. The concert is unfortunately sold-out, but another concert will take place the next day featuring Slza and the duo Marcus & Martinusit’s and some tickets are still available! These two concerts are part of Slavkov Open Festival.
